1. What is the Bank of Oak Ridge® ATM & Visa® Check Card ? The Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card is an enhanced ATM card. Featuring all the benefits of an ATM card (transfer funds, make deposits, and get cash), it can also be used to make purchases at over 27 million merchant locations worldwide. The amount of each purchase is deducted directly from your primary checking account. 2. Does the Visa® logo mean that it's a credit card? No, the Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card is not a credit card. The Visa logo expands your purchasing power, allowing you to make purchases anywhere Visa is accepted. Each purchase is deducted directly from your primary checking account. 3. Are there any finance or interest charges associated with the Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card ? Since this is not a credit card, finance or interest charges do not apply. 4. What are the benefits to using a Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card ? There's no need to write a check and wait for approval. Best of all, there's no bill to pay later. The amount of each purchase is taken directly out of your primary checking account. And the Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card is safer than using checks or cash. That means you're not responsible for unauthorized transactions made at merchants, over the phone, on the Internet or at the ATM. Just be sure to notify us promptly if your card is ever lost or stolen. It's an extra level of protection you don't get with cash or checks. 5. Where can I use my Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card ? You can use your Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card in place of cash and checks anywhere Visa® is accepted — at over 27 million locations worldwide. Your ATM & Visa® Check Card can also be used to transfer funds, make deposits, and get cash at any Star® ATM or any ATM with the Visa® logo. 6. How do I use my Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card to pay for purchases? When you present your card for payment, some merchants may ask you to sign a
sales slip. Other merchants may ask you to enter your Secret Code or Personal
Identification Number (PIN). If the merchant's point-of-sale equipment gives
you the option of pressing "Debit (ATM)" or "Credit," either choice is
acceptable. The amount of the transaction will be deducted from your checking
account.
7. How do I keep track of the purchases I make with my Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card ? Each time you make a purchase, you will receive a receipt from the merchant. Each purchase is detailed on your monthly bank statement and includes the transaction date, amount, merchant name, and location. You can also access your account summary online. 8. Does this card have any spending or cash withdrawal limits? Yes, there are cash withdrawal and purchase limits. Call us at 1-336-644-9944 if you do not know your limits or would like to request a change to your limits. 9. Can I get cash back with the Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card ? You can get cash back at participating merchants that belong to one of the point-of-sale networks shown on the back of your card. To get cash back when you make a purchase, you must press the "Debit" or "ATM" button on the merchant's terminal and enter your Secret Code/PIN. (Note: This service may not be available in all states or locations.) 10. How safe is this card? Your Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card gives you more security than checks or cash. With your Bank of Oak Ridge Visa® Checkcard, you're not responsible for unauthorized transactions made at merchants, over the phone, on the Internet or at the ATM. 11. What should I do if my card is lost or stolen? Call us at 1-336-644-9944 immediately if your card has been lost or stolen or if you suspect unauthorized use. 12. Will you reimburse me for any bank fees charged due to unauthorized use of my card? Yes, we will reimburse bank fees resulting from unauthorized use of the card. 13. What should I do if I have a billing dispute with a merchant? First, contact the merchant and try to resolve the dispute. If you cannot resolve the dispute with the merchant, then call us at 1-336-644-9944 and we'll investigate your claim. 14. What happens if I return an item that was purchased with my card? The merchant will issue a credit slip for you to sign, and the funds will be credited back to your checking account. 15. How do you determine which customers are eligible for a Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card ? Current and new checking customers who have a good record of financial responsibility and meet qualifications set by the bank will be eligible for the Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Check Card. 16. How do I apply for a Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card ? If you have a Bank of Oak Ridge personal checking account and would like to apply for an ATM & Check Card simply call us at 1-336-644-9944 and ask us to order one for you. How do I activate my Bank of Oak Ridge ATM & Visa® Check Card ? Your card and pin number will be mailed to you separately for your security.
