Self-Service Coin Counting Machines

Bank of Oak Ridge offers self-service coin counting machines in most of our locations. These "Money-go-Round" machines are installed in our check writing stands and are free to all checking, savings, and money market customers. A 5% processing fee applies for non-account holders (which is still less than the fee most other coin counters charge). With the Money-go-Round, customers can deposit the money directly to their accounts or have cash given to them from any of the tellers at that location. These coin counters can process up to 700 coins per minute and can hold up to 50,000 coins.

The Money-go-Rounds are more than just a convenience for our customers. The real appeal is that they are fun! Kids want to use them. Pack rats need to use them. And customers waiting in line at the teller counter can't help but watch when someone steps up to the Money-go-Round lugging a coffee can filled with coins.

The Money-go-Rounds are simple and easy to use:

• You simply drop your coins into the Money-go-Round. After the coins are counted, a receipt is generated which you take to a teller for cash or for deposit into a Bank of Oak Ridge account.
• If you have an unusually large amount of coins, you can drop off the coins for deposit at any Bank of Oak Ridge branch during lobby hours. Accounts are credited for the coin deposit within five business days.
