Are there fees to use CardValet?
No – CardValet is free for Bank of Oak Ridge clients to use on their personal, business and HSA debit cards. Messaging and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile service provider for details on associated fees and charges.

If I turn off my card, do my recurring or automatic payments still go through?
Yes – even if you turn off your card, your recurring payments will still go through. Recurring payments are also excluded from set spending limits.

Who has control of the account if CardValet is downloaded multiple times?
The last person to register the card in CardValet has control. You will be notified if another account holder registers a card you currently control with CardValet. Need assistance? Call Client Connect.

Can I use CardValet with my Bank of Oak Ridge credit card?
Currently, you can only use your personal and business debit cards, and HSA. You are unable to use CardValet with credit cards. We will keep you updated if this changes.

Can I use CardValet with my cards from another Bank?
We give you exclusive access to Card Valet with your Bank of Oak Ridge personal and business debit cards, and HSA. You will only be able to use other cards with CardValet if that particular institution utilizes CardValet.

Can I unsubscribe from CardValet?
Yes, you can unsubscribe and uninstall the application at any time.

How long does the application stay logged in if I don’t log out?
The application automatically logs the user off after 10 minutes.

Is there a limit to how many cards I can register with a single CardValet application?
There is no limit as long as the cards are associated with the institution that offers CardValet.

Are the alerts sent as email or “push” notifications to the device?
CardValet alerts are sent as push notifications to the phone. The alerts also display under “Messages” in the CardValet app.

If there is fraudulent activity on my card and I turn it off, do I still need to get a new card?
Yes – if there is fraudulent activity, you should first turn your card off through the CardValet app, then call Client Connect to receive a new card.
